The yard plan view is a top-down view of the yard blocks, heaps, buildings and gate area in the yard. You use the yard plan view to see a bird's-eye view of the entire yard, but also as a starting point to drill-down into more detailed views.
A plan view can display the following types of blocks:
Wheeled rows: slot-specific areas for wheeled-chassis parking operations.
Grounded stack areas : slot-specific grounded areas for forklifts, straddle carriers, rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTGs), or rail-mounted gantry cranes (RMGs) or similar equipment.
Heap or list areas : areas where containers are kept without being given specific slot locations (for example, CFS).
Buildings : areas such as the gate, office buildings, and other buildings not used to stow containers. They are included in the plan view to orient the user.
Rail blocks: Slot-specific areas for rail operations.
